Assistant ECI Program Director | Texarkana, TX

Job scope: This position assists the Early Childhood Intervention Program Director in all aspects of supervision of service delivery for the ECI program for Bowie, Cass, and Red River counties. Directly supervises multi-disciplinary team for the area including Therapists, Early Intervention Specialists, Interpreters and Data Systems Coordinators. Assists with personnel and budgetary issues and works directly with families when appropriate. Duties include overseeing and coordinating staff assignments and providing services to ECI children and families in the counties served. Responsible for ensuring the coordination of activities and services between Early Childhood Intervention, other Community Healthcore programs, and other agency and community services. Reports and functions under the general supervision of the ECI Program Director. Accountable to ensure  services and program operations are in compliance with federal, state, and Center standards.

This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in an approved field and/or appropriate certification which meets the highest standards of the state and established criteria for professional membership on the ECI Interdisciplinary Team. Professional status includes (but is not limited to) persons who are certified/licensed: speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, certified teachers (with approved majors), social workers, registered nurses, nutritionists, orientation and mobility specialists, educational diagnosticians and fully qualified early intervention specialists.

Experience/Knowledge:

3 years or more of related experience working with children under the age of 3 and/or at least 1 year of experience working as a professional on an interdisciplinary-team in Early Childhood Intervention program preferred. One year of supervisory/leadership experience is preferred.

Must be able to complete activities necessary to perform services.  This includes, but is not limited to, lifting up to 20 pounds.

Minimum Hiring Annual Salary: $55,000
