Job scope:Oversees the overall performance of the Early
Childhood Intervention Program which provides services and supports to families
with young children (birth to age 3) who are experiencing developmental delays.
Current program covers 16 counties in Northeast Texas. Provides leadership to a
multi-disciplinary team of professionals. Develop and implement procedures for
meeting state and federal regulations. Monitor effectiveness and ensure
services meet developmental needs. Manage budgets, grants, and funding
allocations. Coordinate with local agencies, healthcare providers, and schools
to create a network of services and increase referrals to the program. Collaborates
with other child-serving programs within the agency and communities served.
Education/licensure:
Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Social Work, Psychology or a related field (Master's Preferred; Bachelor's Required). Professional status includes (but is not limited to) persons who are certified/licensed: speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, social workers, registered nurses, nutritionists, orientation and mobility specialists, educational diagnosticians and fully qualified early intervention specialists.
Current valid driver's license in state of residence is required.

Physical requirements that are bona fide occupational qualifications essential to the performance of the job:
Mobile and able to bend and reach during 8-12 hour day
Must be able to adequately complete SAMA, First Aid and CPR training
