Job scope: The IT Operations Manager, under the supervision of the Information Technology Director supervises all IT Technical staff and is able to assist them with any hardware / software issues that may arise. Maintains and supports the LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) for the Center including routers, switches and VOIP. Plans, designs and integrates data telecommunications networks; designs, installs, and monitors networks. Maintain and troubleshoot televideo network through Zoom / DTen / Teams. Keeps Firewalls and antivirus software updated. Evaluates potential network enhancements. Designs, configures, monitors and maintains network security features for local and wide area networks to comply with HIPAA requirements. Create system images used to replicate new computer installations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees the maintenance of both the LAN and the WAN
- Assists in presenting to management recommendations related to purchasing and installing hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve software issues (ex: Access, Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows 11)
- Manages LAN security and monitors network performance
- Participates in the development of policies, procedures, and resources that standardize the functioning of the network
- Keeps up-to-date documentation and inventory of applications, systems, and network equipment
- Ability to communicate well with all levels and to work independently without direct supervision
- Ability to supervise technical staff and support them in the technical area (hardware, software, printers, configs, etc.)
- Enforces IT standards and educates employees about compliance issues
Education/licensure:
B.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred or equivalent experience such as certifications.
Current valid driver's license in state of residence.
Experience/Knowledge:
Four (4) years progressively responsible experience in networking and protocols.
Experience with Citrix, VMWare, VCenter, MS Active Directory, Cisco Routers, Switches, MS Windows Server, Cisco VoIP and knowledge of Healthcare and HIPAA a plus.
Ability to write technical documentation including logic flowcharts, decision tables, narrative descriptions and similar materials to support network enhancements and operations.

Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods. Physically able to write, type and file. Able to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
