Licensed Therapist (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) |Atlanta, TX

Job Scope:

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Crisis Services, the LPHA performs clinical activities including independent assessments and service interventions as directed by the treatment plan and/or identified patient needs. In coordination with the RN on duty, and the psychiatrist, determines eligibility for admission to the Crisis Stabilization Unit/Regional Crisis Response Centers (Unit). This position may provide assessments, crisis intervention, skills training, case management, case monitoring and psychotherapy in the Unit. Monitors patients' progress with treatment goals to determine effectiveness of interventions until goals are achieved. Actively participates in patient staffing to determine best treatment for recovery. The position provides care to individuals with a mental illness and/or a co-occurring substance use/abuse diagnosis along with individuals with a dual diagnosis of mental illness and intellectual or developmental disability. Responsible and accountable for the adherence to and promotion of the compliance policy.

Education/licensure:

Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy from an accredited college or university.

Currently licensed and in good standing as a: Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with the State of Texas. Valid Texas Driver's License

Current valid driver's license in state of residence.

Experience/Knowledge:

At least one (1) year full-time experience working in a mental health inpatient, residential, crisis stabilization or respite setting preferred

 Physical requirements that are bona fide occupational qualifications essential to the performance of the job:
Position requires various activities involving visual, auditory, motor skills to communicate; attend meetings/trainings, carrying charts and assisting with patients (up to 50 lbs.), verbalizes information and responds to complaints, develop and deliver reports.  Must have stamina for long days and able to work under hazardous conditions due to potentially aggressive consumers.  Must be physically able to complete Satori Alternative to Managing Aggressive Behavior (SAMA), CPR, and First Aid. 

Minimum Hiring Annual Salary: $80,000
