Job scope: Deliver
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training courses to individuals and
organizations including schools, workplaces, first responders, and community
groups. Educate participants on recognizing signs and symptoms of mental health
challenges, providing initial support, and guiding individuals toward
appropriate professional help. Stay up to date with National Council's MHFA
guidelines, mental health research, and best practices. Promote mental health
awareness and advocate for mental well-being in the community. Maintain
accurate training records and complete required reports.
Education/licensure: Must be a Mental Health First Aid Instructor (or willing to obtain certification). Prefer Bachelor or Master's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, other related Communication Degrees, Education, Psychology, Social Work or other Human Service Fields
Current valid driver's license in state of residence.Experience/Knowledge: Background in mental health, social work, psychology,
or nursing is preferred. Strong public speaking, facilitation, and training
skills. Must have excellent written and
verbal communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive topics with
professionalism and empathy. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage
training logistics. Must be versatile in utilizing a variety of computer
systems including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
