Job scope: Responsible for the management and development of a comprehensive Veterans Resource Center that provides a wide array of veteran centered services and supports to veterans and their families as they build a civilian life in the community. This occurs throughout the service area to include nine county catchment area and other counties as identified in the grants. Key performance tasks including: developing strategic planning and operationalizing through utilization of outcome based metrics linked to payer performance standards; manage budgets from multiple payors sources with varied fiscal requirements and fiscal years; develop procedural manuals based on center policy and procedures, payer performance standards and veteran stakeholder recommendations; provide direct supervision of staff across service area; facilitate the creation of a trauma informed service environment; be able to make changes in procedures necessary to meet critical program outcomes; and, other tasks that may arise to meet payer requirements. Shall provide or coordinate case services for eligible service recipients.
Shall develop a comprehensive knowledge based on military culture and veterans issues. Shall effectively liaison with a very wide range of veteran and community stakeholders. Must be able to work independently utilizing good judgment with wide latitude of discretion in program operations. Shall maintain awareness of future grant opportunities and coordinate with supervisor for application of said grants in efforts to grow the array of services we can offer veterans. Shall coordinate with appropriate staff and supervisors regarding any audit requests for the program as well as oversight any corrective action plans when identified.
Education/licensure:
Current valid driver's license in state of residence. Minimum educational requirement: High School diploma or GED, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience/Knowledge:
Preference given to a Veteran or family member with first degree relationship; preference given to applicants with experience/knowledge of the Veterans Administration system and/or other resources provided to the veteran community.

Position has requirements to perform lifesaving activities such as CPR and SAMA techniques.
