Job scope:
Oversees the intake and hospital follow-up services for the Children's Mental Health Outpatient Program in a 9-county region of Northeast Texas. Responsible for managing the schedule and coordinating with the call center (AVAIL) to ensure sufficient appointment slots are available. Supervises a team of clinicians and coordinates with clerical staff to ensure all required documentation is completed to meet admission guidelines. Facilitates the coordination of follow-up services post psychiatric inpatient admission. Ensures proper staffing patterns are maintained. Promotes services in the community and collaborates with key-stakeholders in the school system, psychiatric and medical hospitals, juvenile justice system, the Department of Family Protective Services, primary care providers and other child-serving agencies. Coordinates with leadership within the Children's Mental Health Outpatient Program to ensure that programmatic needs are met.Education/licensure:
Current valid driver's license in state of residence. Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with major in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy. Independently licensed in the state of Texas as LPC, LMFT, LCSW preferred. Prefer to have work history that includes supervisory and budgetary experiences.Experience/Knowledge:

Must have communication skills sufficient to create and maintain professional relationships with staff/consumers/parents and other professionals in related agencies.
Must maintain compliance with all standards of contractual specification, mandatory training, safety programs, clients' rights, licensing/certifications, educational requirements, professional/ethical conduct, and any other standards as required of the position.Physical requirements that are bona fide occupational qualifications essential to the performance of the job:
Mobility and ability to sit, bend and reach during an 8 to 10 hour day. Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to monitor program operation and environment of care and to maintain accurate records.
