Sr Financial Analyst

Job scope: 

Analyze departmental monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance and trend analyses. Assist deputy CFO with preparing budgets for reimbursement contracts and potential contract awards. Partner with department leaders to provide financial insights and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth. Support management with presentation materials for executive meetings and board packages. Assist with annual audit. Monitor contract financials to ensure spending is maximized. Assist with annual budget preparation and forecasts. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Education/licensure: 

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university or college. Advanced degree preferred. Current valid driver's license in state of residence.

Experience/Knowledge: 

Highly proficient in using Microsoft Excel for cost analysis and reporting. Experience extracting and using data from relationship databases. Familiarity with data validation, data integrity, and quality control. Must be able to read and interpret a variety of material, including policies, procedures, laws, regulations, contracts, grants, accounting, and financial standards and other detailed complex materials. Strong attention to detail. Adaptable and willing to learn and grow with this role. Previous experience in MH/IDD/SUD, health care or governmental accounting preferred. Must have good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with others. Ability to work independently and to prioritize tasks is essential.
