Purchasing Manager

Job scope: The Purchasing Manager oversees the procurement of goods, materials, and services to ensure the organization's operational needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively. This role involves strategic planning, vendor management, contract negotiation, and supervision of a purchasing team. The Purchasing Manager will leverage relevant software solutions to streamline processes, maintain accurate records, and optimize supply chain operations. This role requires strong technical writing skills to create clear, concise, and user-focused documentation. This position is responsible for the successful operation of the copy room, mailroom, and coordination of mail and supply delivery.

Education/licensure: Prefer Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience/Knowledge: Experience: Prefer 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., Asset Panda, Fraxion, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and strong technical writing skills. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, forecast needs, and make data-driven decisions. Negotiation Skills: Prefer experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships. Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge: Prefer familiarity with supply chain principles, inventory management, and industry-specific regulations.

Minimum Hiring Annualized Salary:  $70,000+ depending on experience
