Job scope: Supports the Community Healthcore (CHC) mission: Helping people achieve dignity, independence and their dreams. Participates in the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) grant initiative to build the capacity of CHC to meet regional needs through the CHC Behavioral Health Academy.
Observe center practices, tour departments, shadow adult and children clinical settings and train in completing assessments including the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) screening, and National Outcome Measurements (NOMS).
Education/licensure:
Enrolled in a Bachelor's program in the Human Services field that meets the criteria of a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).
Current valid driver's license in state of residence with a driving record that meets the standards of the liability insurer for CHC.
Experience/Knowledge:
Advanced communication and writing skills. Ability to learn and gain understanding of the behavioral health field and related illnesses. Working knowledge of computer and ability to work within an electronic health record.Physical requirements that are bona fide occupational qualifications essential to the performance of the job:
Willing to travel 10-25% of the time for applicable home and community appointments.
Mobile and able to bend and reach during 8-12 hour day
Must be able to adequately complete Satori Alternatives for Managing Aggression (SAMA), First Aid and CPR training
Work endurance sufficient to work an 8-12 hour day
Minimum Hiring Hourly Salary: $16.00
