Behavioral Health Quality Reviewer | Longview

Job scope: The Behavioral Health Quality Reviewer reports directly to the Behavioral Health Quality Review Manager. The Behavioral Health Quality Reviewer is a key team member in establishing a professional system of care to the individuals served through CHC. Behavioral Health Quality Reviewer will utilize the systematic approach whereby clinical staff are trained to use a Person-Centered philosophy. Will complete behavior health surveys and audit clinical documentation to ensure that a Person-Centered philosophy is utilized in recovery. Inspects documentation for the purposes of insuring that contract standards are met for Center payors.  Ensures contracted services are provided according to the Texas Health and Human services Commission (HHSC) contract standards.  Ensures that non-HHSC services are provided according to Center standards.  Ensure written retrospective audit findings are provided to BHQR Program Manager and corrective action plans requested as needed to establish a clinically effective workforce. Must be knowledgeable with Texas Administrative Codes (TAC) and Knowledge, Attitudes, and Skills (KSA). Assist interns with KSAs, once a week, by monitoring, observing performance, and promoting clinical competence, directly and objectively and insure fidelity to evidence-based practices. Will provide Supervised Work Experience (SWE) oversight and submit the completed HHSC forms to the BHQR Program Manager and HHSC. 

Education/licensure:

 Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. Prefer 3 or more years' experience working in the field. Current valid driver's license in state of residence.

Experience/Knowledge:

Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others.

Ability to gather, assemble, correlate and analyze facts and devise solutions to administrative problems.

Ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Adobe Pro, and Excel.

Ability to comprehend and implement program goals, objectives and operations and to relate these to administrative objectives and missions.

Ability to develop, install, and evaluate administrative policies and procedures.

Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting departmental policies and procedures.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff, administrative personnel and officials and the public.

Must have communication skills sufficient to create and maintain professional relationships with staff/consumers/parents and other professionals in related agencies. Must maintain compliance with all standards of contractual specification, mandatory training, safety programs, clients' rights, licensing/certifications, educational requirements, professional/ethical conduct, and any other standards as required of the position.
