Client Services Coordinator | Longview

Job scope:The Client Services Coordinator will administer and coordinate the duties of the HUD CoC Rapid Rehousing grant.  The position will ensure data is entered correctly into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and will run reports via HMIS, as required by HUD.  The Client Services Coordinator for unit 561 will be trained to conduct Coordinated Entry (CE) assessments and will serve as one of the Entry Points for CE assessments within Community Healthcore.  This position must have knowledge and experience with the HUD CoC Rapid Rehousing program guidelines, including eligible costs and sufficient documentation.   This position will also assist with the coordination of activities related to the United Way (i.e. meetings, health fairs, tours, and fund raisers).  The Client Services Coordinator will work with CHC case workers to ensure the housing needs of program participants are met (for those participants that are also receiving mental health services from CHC). 

Education/licensure:  High School graduate or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.  Experience with Housing services and knowledge of community resources strongly preferred.  Current valid driver license in state of residence. 

Experience/Knowledge:

Ability to keep detailed records.  Ability to accept and utilize professional supervision.  Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.  Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. 

Physical requirements that are bona fide occupational qualifications essential to the performance of the job:

Mobile and able to bend and reach during an 8 to 12 hour day.  Must be able to adequately implement SAMA, 1st Aid, and CPR activities.

Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to evaluate, attend to, and monitor clients.
