Job scope:
This position helps people
achieve Dignity, Independence and their Dreams by providing maintenance to
Community Healthcore residential and commercial facilities. Works with and supports the Organization
Improvement Team to identify areas for improvement including preventative
maintenance to Community Healthcore facilities; minor electrical, plumbing and
HVAC systems. Relies on experience and
judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A
wide degree of creativity and latitude is encouraged.
Education/licensure:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Building maintenance or construction experience. Vocational / Trade school training preferred or equivalent combination of education and prior work experience.
Current valid driver's license in state of Texas.Experience/Knowledge: 2 years' experience in commercial / residential building maintenance and repair. Working knowledge of building preventative maintenance, plumbing, HVAC systems, electric systems, lawncare and fire and safety regulations. Skilled in the use of hand / battery operated tools and powered equipment. Ability to recognize work and maintenance needed without prompt; work from simple drawings or sketches; follow oral or written instructions as well as maintenance software program. Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision.

occupational qualifications essential to the performance of the job: Reaching, walking, lifting, finger dexterity, talking, hearing,
repetitive motions, kneeling, crouching, crawling, travel. Physical stamina to work in inclement
weather and sufficient equilibrium to work on ladders, scaffolding or roofs.
MINIMUM HIRING SALARY PER HOUR: $20.70
